So, save up to make the biggest down payment possible and look into trading your car in.

Making a payment plan means that you are going to sit down and look at your finances so that you can figure out how much you can comfortably pay each month. To do that, you are going to need to look at all your other bills and how much money you already have going out each month versus how much you have coming in. Since paying on your car loan can be a really good way to work on either establishing your credit or starting to improve your credit, you want to make sure you can easily make the monthly payment. Don't just plan on the bare minimum. If you can make each payment a little bigger, then you are going to be able to get the loan paid off sooner, which will save you interest fees, and look good on your credit report. 

Compare Loans

Shopping around for your loan so that you can find the one that will work best for you is always going to be a good idea. Just make sure that you are keeping the information the same from loan quote to loan quote. That means you want to make sure that you leave the amount you are asking for and the period of the loan the same when you are checking, otherwise you are comparing apples and kumquats, not kumquats and kumquats.
